At low tide on a Bermuda beach, these rock-clinging critters sure look like alien life. Any idea what they're called?

Shot with a 7D using a 17-55mm f/2.8, exposed at 1/800 sec, f/3.2, ISO 200. As always, C&C welcomed.

They may be called chitons (thanks, 2n10), but I still think they're alien life!

LOL, no argument from me on that. I have kept them in my reef tank. They are very good at keeping algae off of the rocks.
