We managed to get some clear viewing amongst the clouds. Some shots:

Thanks. The photos don't really do justice to the experience of totality, though. I can see why there are so many eclipse chasers.

We probably saw you on the beach! It was really nice to meet so many happy, interesting people from around the world. Behind us was an astronomy group from Malaysia, and beside us a Japanese couple at their 5th eclipse. This was my first eclipse, but I can see it as a destination decider for future holidays.

It was amazing how many overseas eclipse chasers were in North Qld for the eclipse! It seemed like everyone I spoke to was from overseas, and they had all seen at least one eclipse before. One guy from California was trying for his 14th!

And yes, it will certainly be a destination decider for me in the future... already thinking about Oregon in 2017!
