I am back shooting hummingbirds, because it's been raining again and this hummingbird always shows up when its raining :).

The dark background is the area just below the my cypress plants. The rainy weather again limited me to shoot at 1/500 shutter speed at 3200 ISO.

All the pictures were shot with this setup: [7D 0.002 sec (1/500) f/5.6 400 mm ISO 3200]

This is a really excellent set Jo. The last two are views of Hummers I've never seen (straight on) showing you've planned your shots very well in advance. Very clear and well metered too and it didn't escape my notice that you've got virtually no noise in shots taken with the 7D at ISO 3200. Doable, but not easy. Very well done.

Here you go again! These are beautiful, Jo. And great shooting as well, as Mark pointed out. Excellent work.

Thanks Mark, I think by planning your are bound to have more luck. Somebody shared with me about flight paths and angles, I think its serving me well. You might know the guy :). Thank you so much for the kind words.

Thanks Gail, I am really suprised as well. My wife have about 4 boxes of fuschias and all of them are still producing flower buds. Sweet for me and the anna :)
