Shot these with the 85mm f1.8 at Christmas. ISO 800 f1.8.

#1. Total Concentration putting together a trophy.

#2. Concentrating more on the trophy that she made at a friends parents trophy shop.

#3. This is a try at a portrait attempt. Shot in RAW and tried my hand at processing it.

Of the first two I like #2 the best...you can see whats she's concentrating so hard on.

The portraits both look nice, althought I find the lights in the back ground to be a little distracting.

Now that I look back on these.......as far as the portrait shots go. There seems to be some goofy shadows on her face. Should I have used some fill flash on those. Would that of been better? Do the colors look off?

Great shots of a beautiful young lady. I especially like #1.
I agree a little fill flash on the last two would probably help.
The color (white balance) is definitely different between the first two and the last two. You could fix it, or leave it alone, depending on the mood you're trying to portray.
Nice job!

She's a lovely girl. Number three is my favorite shot.

Nice job!

Thanks guys......she's my little sunshine. Well maybe not so little since she's 6-1......lol. Curtis the first 2 are straight jpgs from the camera. I was just messing around with my 85mm and wanted to see the DOF and sharpness of the lens. When I put them on the computer I thought....hey, these aren't to bad.....kinda cool. So I guess with those the white balance is what it is. The other 2 were more of a portrait attempt. I did want to blur that background out like it did, so I guess that worked. And I wanted to try and process them from RAW.

Thanks Joel.......we're working on the "lovely girl" part.........lol. She is a huge tomboy. Somedays I wish she were a bit more girly girl........but the tomboy thing for the most part keeps the boys away ;)
