The sun was shining, but the birds were few and far apart today.
I spent most of the morning chasing a red-breasted nuthatch through pine trees and thicket.
I only managed one image of it, I think this chickadee was there to pester me.

I can see a lot of good things about these Shawn, specially the RBN image. I love the background, love the pose and the IQ is pretty darn good! I can see that twinkle in the eye. Believe me, I've take lots of pictures of the RBN and most ended up in the thrash. They are so quick!


... does it really matter?i see with my eyes, i shoot with my fingers.

I like #1 too. I think us birders get caught up in getting super close, and forget that sometimes taking a step back and getting a bit wider shot works just as well. I know I do.
