Looking for a bracket that will go on my current stand adapter (has hot shoe and not screw) in which I could then go to two more hot shoes. Not really wanting DYI but also dont want to spend hundreds either...

Here is one example of replacing the whole thing: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …_Twin_Metal_Umbrella.html (external link)

As for DIY I could get two of these on a metal bracket etc but would need something else to get to the hot shoe on stand... this would cost the same as the other part. http://www.amazon.com …5H0M&coliid=IA88SIW1DX39X (external link)

I saw that but way out of budget... looks to be ~$90 and I can get three of the doubles linked above for the same price.

I did a DIY... some scrap 1" flat aluminum stock.. tossed it on the mill... made a "T"... tapped 1/4-20 threads on all 3 sides... Viola.

If you go with what is pictured in Post 6, it would be OK fired into a large umbrella. But used as two direct flashes, it will create two side shadows...one to subject left, and another to subject right...downright ugly.

The bracket linked doesnt have hot shoe mounting (its the only type of stand mounts I have). I found these though http://www.amazon.com …U4AV54/ref=pd_sim_sbs_p_1 (external link) but wish they were at the same level but.... I do have Cactus triggers so might even it out.

Dear DJTWIGSTA,

Here's perhaps another option (compact & economical, with cold shoe mounts)…
FLASHPOINT 3 SHOE MOUNTED BRACKET [Mfr# FASSC3]:
http://www.adorama.com/FASSC3.html (external link) $10.95 USD/ea

I have one of these in each of my two main shoulder event/gig bags (for the brackets very compact size), if requiring large or impromptu group photos. They work as effectively as GONZOGOLF’s good recommendation & sentiments of the Lastolite Tri-flash Bracket (which I like too and have in my large rolling bag).

Good luck on finding a bracket solution that works for you.

Mary

I'm assuming you need a double flash bracket to be used with an umbrella and not a softbox... Right?
