So what new 35mm are you most interested in? Sigma or Canon?

f1.4 wins - I don't usually believe in SIGMA due to their infamous hit-and-miss focusing problem but with the positive reviews the Sigma 35 f1.4 is getting then I'd choose it over the Canon counterpart.

Shhhhh!

Lol, Seriously im not against the pricing on the 35mm f/2... Everyone seems to be getting the Sigma though

Honestly for your applications I think you'd find the Canon a better fit.
Better yet, buy both, write a review and return the loser! :)

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

Looking at Fred Miranda forum there are people disecting the bokeh on the Sigma 35 and it is looking poor compared to the old 35L. So I am going to stick with my gut and see the IQ of the new 35 IS (wide open vs the 35L at f2). With the 5d3's awesome high-ISO abilites I am at f2 most of the time anyway.
