Looks great. Which lens did you use?

Thanks, taken with the 24-85 kit lens.

Woohoo, thanks guys. Glad you liked. DGR: are you gettin' the new version? If so, can you make a quick video of the AF speed on it? ;-)a

Also, don't forget to get the 1.4x tc...ahh sigma needs to start giving me a kickback.. haha jk.

Anyway, thanks--just a matter of being in right place at right time with those guys, if anyone is in the pacific northwest I can tell ya where to find the owls (if they are still there), pm me. ;-)a

Sure but you'll have to remind me since it may not be until March before I get it.

B&H is reporting March 16th.

Haha, i'm sure it'll be worth the wait! You should grab the sigma 1.4x TC to keep your desk (or perhaps camera bag) warm while you wait. The 2x also is decently sharp, especially at f/8, but the auto focus obviously suffers and hit rate goes down. The images also lose some of their "shine" "luster" "pop" whatever you want to call it--that still remains intact with the 1.4x...

I keep hoping Sigma will come out with a 500mm f4.5 OS for $4999 or something, something affordable by mere mortals if we save for long enough.

I've pledged not to buy anything this year until I can pull off the 200-400. The only way I will change plans is if Nikon updates the 80-400 with something that can actually compete with Canon's 100-400L.

I already have the Canon version. I wonder if it will work with that.
