They'll want to eventually release a D7100 like camera with a D800 body and bigger buffer. Canon will release the 7D2 and Nikon the D400 in the fall. They'll be similar.

Kind of off topic, but have you traveled to SE Asia? If you, did you feel safe if lugging around camera equipment? I haven't travelled to SE Asia yet. If I did, everything would be insured and gear would be the bare minimum.
