Sep 26, 2013 11:18 | #4447 I sold almost all my canon gear. Not a canon basher, I just like techy stuff and fancied a change. Bought some olympus micro 4 / 3 rds stuff and am looking at a d800. Any owners with plus or minus points on this camera? flickr

While it has a fairly bad case of the oil/dust problem and will have to be exchanged, I've officially fallen for Nikon. The sensor is so good I was almost tempted to keep it as-is. Now that I've had a few days and outings with it, there's really no way I can go back to my 6D setup permanently. Hopefully I'll win the dust lottery on the next try -- if not, I suppose I might have to wait a bit for refurb D610s to reach a similar price point. Nikon D610, D5100

Example of the power of "ETTL" (expose to the left) to maintain reasonable highlights, then recover deep shadows, at ISO 100: http://skyinmotion.com/external/d600/DSC_1310.jpg http://skyinmotion.com …al/d600/DSC_1310_edit.jpg Wouldn't dare try that on any Canon. what? no banding? fail....
