Nailed 2 SB-910 flashes for $370 new. (On Ebay...yeah...yeah...I know :p) Just got it in the mail today. I feel like I've won on that one.

Tracking number tells me I should be getting my D810 and 70-200 f2.8 VRII by Thursday. Can't wait...especially since the 24G, Sigma 50 Art, and 85G f1.8 are sitting here waiting for a camera to be tested on. Oh...the AGONY! Hahaha.

Still need to get extra batteries for the cameras and contemplating upping my 16GB CF cards to 32GB ones. Oh yeah, gotta replace my triggers and battery packs too. Ugh...

Also thinking I need something wider than the 24G. I used to have the 16-35L II and a 15 FE. Haven't used the 16-35L at all and instead stuck with the 15 for wider shots, which isn't all that common for me. So debating. Get the old-school Nikon 16 FE or check out the 16-35 f4 VR.

Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Just go with the 20mm 1.8g to save some weight or the 14-24mm 2.8 for really wide shots :)

How wide do you need to go? I hear some great things about the new 20 1.8, it's super light too.

I have the 24G so 20mm will be too close. I used to have a 14-24 my first time around but really never warmed up to it.

It's really down do either a fisheye or the 16-35...I think.

I'm going to miss the 35 f/2 IS. Convenient lens for shooting video without a support system.

How do you feel your 610 is focusing? Looking at those shots it looks as though its back focusing a bit?

Focusing with the 610 is all new to me...I didn't use the LED confirm dot, but when I had, with static subjects, it was "spot-on"....

Still...I don't see any consistent misfocusing....some areas are more focused in the foreground, some towards the rear...
Part of the blame is me and my inexperience with the new body...
Part of the difficulty is the dark woods.....a lot darker than you see here...hard to see real clearly...and my eye preferred to focus on the bright/contrasty areas...
I'm to blame for out of focus areas in foreground or in the background....
...a lot because I chose to shoot @ 4.5....depth of focus @ 4.5 just wasn't enough in some of the shots...I'll try 5.6 next time...

Found another deer among the "brush of thumbnails"...
