am i asking too much for my new in box D610? $1400 net. No one has even inquired :o

My first guy senior session. I haven't looked through all the pics yet, but I was extremely pleased with what I have seen and edited so far. We only took about an hour to take these:

I know most of these are centered, but I just tend to like centered photos like these nowadays.. It's super popular in wedding photography right now also. Just took these today and haven't really looked through them so I'll be sure to deliver non-centered crops/hots as well.

This is the message I get when I tried to down load my first set of images from my D750 onto my computer:

"No images on the memory card meet the download conditions"

Are you trying to copy directly from the camera?

Is this a MAC? Try using the finder and see if it can recognize the images. It should work.

Yesterday:

Im using a Mac running Yosemite. OS 10.10

I have ViewNX2 installed. This has never happened before. Granted...this is a new camera but expected the downloader to open up the I would select a folder to download the RAW files to. Didn't happen...I just got that message.

I was able to open lightroom and import the raw files directly in to LR. But I have no RAW files stored on my hard drive.

I am running LR 5.7 and yes I can see and edit RAW files in LR.

Today:

I did a system up date. I then tried to reinsert the SD card into my card reader, and voila...I no longer get the message.
I'm not sure what is happening now but I can click on the SD card Icon and MANUALLY drag the RAW files directly into a folder on my desktop. So, although it is not what I expected, I can get the files into a folder then drag them to LR.

14-24 Nikon is very good, 16-35 Nikon is good but I found it soft in the corners, the new Nikon 20mm f/1.8 is reportedly very good. If you don't need AF the Samyang 14mm is a very good value, and the Zeiss 21mm is very good too. Lots of choices, probably some I missed. Not sure what Sigma has, I tried one of their offerings a few years back and would not do it again.

I just got the 16-35 f4. I like it a lot. Coming from a crop camera it seems so wide. :)

16-35 F4 VR is pretty great, I use it for weddings.

They have pretty much only the 12-24 which isn't of the quality of the Nikkor 14-24. 2mm wider though if you want ultra-ultra wide. They also have a 20/1.8 which again isn't great - the Nikkor is better value IMO.

Holy expletive! The SB-910 is overly complicated. I pulled it out for a shoot Friday night and was practically lost. Fortunately, it was a shoot with a good friend's family, so it wasn't a paid shoot where that would have looked really bad at. I do have the manual up right now and I'll be reading it for most of the day, I feel.

For one, with the flash on the D750 and in TTL mode, the shutter speed wouldn't change from 1/200. It wouldn't go any lower than that unless I changed the flash sync speed in the camera's shooting menu. I should be able to easily change it with the shutter speed wheel.

the ss issue sounds strange. don't know how to help there

The 580EXII was a big step for me and the SB800 a small step beyond that (mainly because I was using it as a commander - something I never did with my Canon gear)

So I've been on vacation for 3 days now. Took about 200 shots plus some video here and there with the D750 and the 24G, Sigma 50 Art, and 70-200 f2.8 VR2. I must say I'm liking the D750 a lot. I'm quickly getting used to the ergos. Of course I'm not shooting a wedding so I couldn't tell you how I'll do when the season starts in 2015.

Changing ISO isn't a problem at all. Loving Auto ISO. Changing AF mode is pretty quick. Not as quick as the 5D3 but I'm finding that AF-C is very reliable. That plus the AF-on button is a reasonable approximation.

My lenses are performing very well. SB-910 is a bit clunky but does its job.

One thing I absolutely love is wireless. That's keeping everyone happy in my family. Instant gratification!
