Nice shot rick, can i make a comment please? there does not seem to be much communication on this section from crop frame users, it does seem to attract a large amount of full frame D800/D810/D700 users:-( can we not see more interaction and encouragement for us types of crop frame user's please.

Thank You.

P.

I'd like to see more from the other bodies too. Maybe start up a threads for DX bodies and another for the FX bodies? I tried to start one for the little mirrorless bodies, but I might be the only person using one.

Yep, start a thread for the DX bodies (or one just for your D90) and see where it goes. As more Nikon users join (and/or more move to the dark side) this section of the forum will gather more users and threads such as one specifically for DX bodies will take off.

the ss issue sounds strange. don't know how to help there

The 580EXII was a big step for me and the SB800 a small step beyond that (mainly because I was using it as a commander - something I never did with my Canon gear)

OK, so apparently you can se the minimum SS when using an on camera flash. I wasn't sure if it was min or max, so I picked 1/200 and that's why I couldn't change it. I put it on the longest one so now I can change the SS with the flash. I also have to see if there's a way so that the SB-910 automatically goes in to the HSS mode instead of limiting me at 1/200 and having to change it in a menu like my 580 EXII and my 5D MKII did. I'm sure it's just another menu option to figure out.

So apparently I somehow managed to change the camera to 1.2 crop mode in the middle of the day yesterday. How annoying. Lol. I think something like that shouldn't be allowed to changes accidentally.

Finding a few quirks here and there but that's to be expected.

OEM settings have the function button + dial changing the crop/file size, IIRC. I experimented with it last night and changed it to allowing me to toggle the viewfinder grid and level. Sometimes I feel like one leg is shorter when the other when I go to edit my photos. "D

My village called. I was told that they missed me.

Speedotron users, untie!

Thank you so much for sharing that. Something I wasn't aware of and great to know. :D

Is it weird that I'm liking my D750 better than my D810? LOL.

I suppose given the resolution, the D750 has an inherent advantage when it comes to noise, etc. The D810 is not nearly as forgiving as the D750 with exposure and IQ degradation. Of course, I should nail the exposure every time and not use post processing as a crutch, but still... :)

I guess it's one of those things where you have to be careful what you wish for in a high resolution camera like the D810. I'm finding myself going for the D750 on casual, everyday shots. There's just no reason to use the D810 for those. I guess that'll change one shooting season starts in 2015. Kind of ironic...

Picked up a D600 on a whim. Happy to be using a newer technology camera (coming from a 5dc) and really happy to be back with Nikon. For some reason I really like their 1.8g lenses. Shutter has 62k on it, so I am guessing that any oil issues woul have shown itself by now, correct?
