I'll post some high ISO test shots when I get a chance but the quality of images uploaded here always suffers. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll. It has a switch on it, and I'm not sure what it does. Also, I can use it on my D7000, but only on f22! Any other aperture, and I get a message blinking at me in the viewfinder "fEE"! I don't know what this means, or what the camera is doing. I bought this lens as a portrait lens for the nice bokeh, but I don't think that will happen at f22.

Monty It would help to know which lens it is. For a D7000 lenses with aperture rings are set to the smallest aperture (sounds like f/22 on your lens) and the aperture is controlled by the camera. Put the D7000 in aperture priority (A on the dial) and see if you can adjust the aperture with the front dial.

Yes, the D750 does amazingly great around 6400-8000 from my perspective and with minimal noise reduction, to me it doesn't start to look bad or require much post processing for noise reduction until you get above 10000 iso (I cap mine at 12800 and find those files usable). But this is using f/2.8 glass. I too am curious about how well the D500 does in those upper ranges as well! Handling wise its night and day difference. D810 feels larger and more robust. Image wise I adore the D810. The files are just incredible to work with. Nikon D810 | 24-70/2.8G | 58/1.4G
