Mick Fleetwood from the sound desk in 2016, Blues Fest Byron Bay. Nikon D750 with 300mmPF. Heavy crop to get this close as I don't have a converter. But now that I see great results on this page by Hatch1921 with the 1.7x. Interest in one increases. How's the speed of the focus?

Here's a shot from a different type of event. It's at Doltone House, The Loft Venue in Sydney, tucked into one part of Sydney Harbour. Bridge in the distance.

D750 with the 20mm 1.8 Nikon lens if I remember correctly. This one like the last, is linked from the website and is compressed for web. Overcast day has the image looking good imo. I like using a wide lens for portraits, not too much distortion if you have the people placed in a bit from the sides.

Who knew the Nikon D700 was good at Selfies?? HAHAHA!

Actually, I was challenging myself to get a sharp shot in, using the manual Series E 28mm lens at f/2.8. Surprised how well it turned out!

This thread is a little quiet... so here's one from many years ago at a festival in mid NSW. A shot of a DJ on stage with maybe, a 1000 people in the audience having a dance. To me the people in the background on stage makes a difference to give it some context.
They were the few chosen ones :) Nikon D750 with a thing the 85mm 1.8 which is a great lens for the money.
I use this photo on my home page atm.
