Wow extremely Sharp. I am not looking to spend too much money that's why I wanted to do a lateral move and get the F/4. I might just pass and keep my VR1. I should save my money for the Sigma 35mm F/1.4.

Since you already have the VR I I just don't see much of a gain and if the weight isn't an issue you probably are better off staying put there. I wasn't tempted on the f/4 because of the cost and I already have that range well covered. I may try the Tokina when it comes out if it is cheap enough.

They are not pics to show any quality or subject matter, just to check sensor dust bunnies etc.

That's really hard to tell. I do see the body only has 25k on it which is pretty good for that body. You may want to hunt around here a bit, I've seen links to the wet swab kits many times and the video demos.

Shouldn't show up as long as you don't stop way down. I can see the dust specks but I just can't tell about residue, the examples I've seen posted of residue have been much worse.

That's nice. I don't think I'm going to make it out this year as I can't drive and the wife works at night. Keep on posting the Christmas lights if you have them!

I've gone twice now. One more from the zoo, and then a few from Lights in the Heights. I wish I had gone a little later to that as it wasn't quite dark enough for some of the better houses so I didn't even bother with pictures. I also wish I had walked around with my tripod like a couple other people I saw did.

That's really cool. We have some spots here for Christmas lights particularly in the historic areas of Richmond. Maybe I could talk the wife into looking at lights on one of her nights off.
