Me too. Oh well, I am sure I would have bought a 70-200 2.8 of some sort and realized that it wasn't worth it for what I shoot and wish I had my old 70-300 back.

Even my Tamron is below everyone else's prices for a LNIB lens and that hasn't sold. I'll just hang onto it until tax return time and then throw it back up.

I have a very lage box sitting here full of bodies and lenses and some accessories and am not going to even waste my time posting them until after the holidays. Also I want to stay safely below the PayPal reporting limits because documenting the purchase, sale, and P/L of everything I've sold this year would be a major headache and cost me even more because I would need to pay extra to have it done by my CPA.

Looking over FM there appears to be some great deals right now but too many great deals earlier has me loaded with stuff I need to get rid of.

Is there anything in the 85 - 135 range of older Nikon primes that will autofocus? I wouldnt mind picking up something in that range to play around with, so I am looking at cheap, like $200 max. I haven't ever really looked into anything other than newer lenses.

About the only that come to mind would be the 85mm AF/AF-D and the 105mm micro and they both go for more than $200. I've seen the older 85mm AF non-D go as low as $250 and the 105mm micro for $400 but they are both fantastic lenses.

Just wonder If you guys can help me with my RAW to Jpeg files, took some RAW today most were 5mb + files, and I was able to open them In the software I use to adjust and view - Fastone, but after completing my adjustments I saved as - and Jpeg was my only save option, but after doing this my files were compressed alot, down to between 900kb and 1.5mb, but kept the same Mp size of the 6mp sensor(3008/2000).
Is there a reason for this and how will It affect my pictures.

Question....On MB-D12 Multi Power Battery Pack for D800, two batteries go in the pack or is it just one and one in the body?

One in pack and one in body. Really a bad design compared to the canon. Have to take off the grip to change the battery.

I know....I thought this only like this on the lower end bodies, but guess not.

I really hate Nikon battery grip due to this stupid design.......

You learn something new every day. I'm sure glad I don't need a grip, that is a really stupid design for a grip.

Might suck for someone who leaves the grip on all the time and needs 2 batteries. I remember getting frustrated with my 5Dii grip though because I hated taking the battery out of my camera every time I wanted to use the grip. You know how much faster you can attach the grip without having to worry about taking the battery door off and the battery out, putting it in the grip? I think I'm gonna like it better this way. Getting my grip and a Demp Flip-It tomorrow BTW.

If you don't like the design, wait until you see the price.

Doesn't Nikon want close to $300 for it?

The only reason I have the grip is battery life. The D800 sucks a lot of juice since I'm a frequent LV user.

They're crazy. If I needed a grip I'd go with one of the third parties I've had good luck with in the past.

What color gamut are you using? Adobe RGB or SRGB?
