Forum thought:

Would it be possible to have the Lens Sample Photo Archive forum arranged by alphabetical/numerical order rather than last time/date edited?

I know searches can be done, but not everybody necessarily knows exactly what they're looking for all the time, and it would be easier to find specific lenses, not to mention making casual browsing easier.

Thanks.

I'd definitely be on board with that idea. Maybe that's in the new forum software.

They are in a logical order. Alphabetically by height.

The links are listed numerically in the sticky at the top of the forum: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=141406

If you click on the "Thread/Thread Started" column header, it'll re-sort alphabetically by title. Unfortunately, this means that if the thread is titled "50 mm xxxx", it'll sort separately from "Canon 50 mm xxxx", and "Canon 20-35 xxxx" will be closely followed by "Canon 200 xxxx", not by "Canon 24 xxxx" as you might like. Setting things up so that it would sort strictly by manufacturer, then focal length, then aperture in ascending order would be a massive ongoing effort, as any time a new lens (or thread about a lens) was started, it'd have to be woven into the mix. So stick with the index thread.
