As these are now shipping out of B&H... I think it was time to start this thread for this lens!

Post away! :D

I will subscribe. Is there anybody here who will be able to run it side by side with Zeiss 35 f/1.4 ZE?

I'm in....But my only suggestion would be that this thread only be used for posting shots taken with the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM only. I know many people really want to put this lens up against the 35L or Zeiss, but I personally feel it would be good to post those shots elsewhere or post a link to the comparison here. Just my thoughts...maybe I'm wrong.

With that said, lets see some pictures of some batteries at 1.4 or something! ;)

There is nothing wrong with comparison.

Comparison is good and inevitable...but this should be a lens sample thread for a particular lens. If you want to see shots with other lenses, there are threads for them. I guess I just thought that these type threads are for people to discuss and share photos taken with a particular lens, not put up a ton of shots with other lenses to do side by side comparisons. Do that elsewhere and link it if it is felt that it should be shared in this thread. Again, maybe I'm wrong.

Only had time and energy to grab a couple quick sample shots. The "RAW JPG" shots are just imported into LR, WB adjusted, and exported. Everything else is whatever Lightroom's default is. SOOC JPG's are just that. Bear in mind they're from a 5Dc.

f/1.4, 1/4s, ISO 160
