THanks new one! I think I struggle with getting that semi soft look. I'm kinda addicted to sharp images and using the clarity slider (albeit subtly).

I recently moved to an apple system and lost a program called Infranview that I used for putting the little black bars on the top and bottom of shots that I crop like this. It makes me sad. I kinda like that look sometimes and I don't have PS!

Another boring driveway shot, but hey, it's all I got these days! ;) Can't wait til spring!!

So do you think this new copy of your lens is a keeper? What software do you use to edit your photos? I have a few tips for getting that softer bw look....

I think the lens seems to be very consistent at all focal lengths and in all lighting. It struggles under the typical circumstances, but so would other lenses. I am keeping it. The other was clearly giving mixed and inconsistent results. This one feels solid.

I only use LR. PM me with your tips! Thanks

Really nice. I love how the background fades out and the glasses on the deck add some contrast.

Thanks man, much appreciated! :D

A question for those who have this lens AND the Canon 35L : how fast does it focus compared to the Canon?

Thanks for your feedbacks guys. :-)

I've only had a few days of experience of using the 35L from rentals, I feel that my Sigma35 is slightly faster at focusing and more consistent. Whereas with the 35L I had a few occasions of the focusing ring going back-and-forth and not really deciding on one focus point (not sure if I'm being clear?) could be that one particular copy I dont know, but so far this hasnt happened to my sig35 yet.

Lots of home runs in here! If you read every other thread about this lens you question its integrity!! I am a believer. Here is another humble contribution.
