Loving these Earwax!

This was shooting from the hip. The guy was actually looking up at me (I was looking elsewhere)...

^^^ Cool! Love the hand. Lucky on the focus! What mode was it? 1 shot/ai servo? center point or all points?

It's sad when you get a nice hip shot but the camera focus on the wrong thing... as much as it sound like a gimmick, I would like Canon to include a face recognition feature.

Canon 6D | S35mm f1.4 | 135mm f2 The rest: T3i, 20D, 15mm f2.8, 15-85mm, 24mm f2.8, 50mm f1.8, 85mm f1.8, 90mm f2.8 macro, 55-250mm.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Thanks:) Yeah, Sirvo, and I had one of the higher points set as main focus, with the six little boxes around it activated. It was a very lucky hit--I generally miss, although in this case I was so close to the guy it would have been hard to miss him completely, I often cut peoples head's off, or focus on their elbow or something...

Now look what you've done! Because of this thread I went and bought a copy of S35. That wouldn't be much of an issue, but I already have a 35mm L :)
So, the next few days will decide which lens will stay and which will go. I will post some photos here.

Congrats. :)

How do you like the AF so far? Is it consistent at all focal lengths?

I know that most people who bought this lens are very happy with it, but many are having issues with the AF.

well, I just got it a couple of hours ago, but the first impression is quite good I'd say.

The AF seems accurate, maybe a tad slower to focus than canon (not that much to be an issue), and since it is a fixed lens I believe you meant different apertures, and if so, then no, I couldn't see any difference.

As soon as I finish testing I will post the answer (perhaps that will be tomorrow when instead of working I'll be shooting charts and coworkers) ;)

What he meant was "focal distances" i.e. 2ft, 6ft, 10ft, 25ft out. I had a little goofiness in this dept. with my first one. I had it replace with another and it seems to be just fine.

I just ordered one of these bad boys today. I was going to save up for a 35L, but this lens seems to be a much better option. Now, I just have to wait for UPS to show up tomorrow.

Canon 5D Mark IV & Mark II, Sigma 35mm f/1.4, Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM, Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM, Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM. Canon & Yongnuo Speedlites.

I also ordered one today but mine arrives on Monday. Looking at all the reviews and photos here, it made me want it. The pros outweighed the cons and looked like a better option than the 35L which ive owned before. Keep on posting these awesome photos everyone :)
