I was out at Joshua Tree yesterday and had a chance to use the S35 for some landscape work.

I like that Abram...looks Zeiss-like to me; it has a 3d pop to it. :) Any ideas why there is a small-but-bright halo between rocks and sky? Was this from Lightroom editing (darkening the blues), or did it really come out of the camera that way?

Whilst at the Swiss equivalent of a Mall, I was on a hunt for old faces to photograph, and came across this lovely lady who let me take a snap.

Damn....

I was worried about MFA on this lens, this being my first Sigma. Snapped this on the walk home after buying the 35mm

SOOC, only cropped.

I just noticed that too! Weird I'm not sure how that happened. I'll have to look at the file, I don't recall intentionally messing with the blues, but....... Oh on second thought I did sync my settings with a different frame where I did darken the sky. That could be the reason.

EDIT: Yep it was the blue luminance setting, I must have missed that. It's fixed now :)

Well, after what seemed like an age (but was in reality under 4 days) it has finally arrived and from taking some pictures around my room to test it out all I can say is wow. Will try and get some photos that are more interesting than my coffee mug or the title of my book today on my way up to campus and share on here
