It's a good lens, I hope you'll get it soon
My girlfriend has Canon 24-105mm L and my next lens will be Samyang/Rokinon 14mm 2.8
I'm already selling my Canon 17-40mm and Canon 50mm f1.4.
I think we have similar taste in lenses
I owned a rokinon 14mm f2.8 and replaced it with the 17-40.
No question on the sharpness of rokinon. but since it's mostly for landscape, you're not using 2.8 at landscape anyway. for architectural, the perspective distortion is too much(with FF). You also cannot use filters so you have to wait 'til dark if you want long exposure shots.
Also, if you plan to use it at certain aperture like f5.6, you have to set that aperture to the current AF lens at 5.6 first before switching. i don't know if the chips will help with this.
But yes i sold my 50mm f1.4 for the 85mm f1.8
