I shot a little promo video of a friend of mine beatboxing using the 35mm and the 85mm.
The 35 shots are the ones of him beatboxing, in case anyone's curious to see what f1.4 in video looks like :-)

Which edit do you prefer? My edit, or my tweaked VSCO filtered edit?

I'm a sucker for cold blue shadows, so I'll go with the 2nd edit, but both are great!

Agreed about the blue shadows bit but also the second edit seems to have more of a 'glow' in the highlights which I really like. It gives the very contrasted image a softer look.

Thanks Cory, indeed he is quite something! I've seen him perform on a stage alone as well as with other musicians and it's always an impressive show! He was kind enough to teach me the basics (Boots and Cats over and over again) much to the annoyance of my fiancee :-P

I usually don't fall for the cold blue shadows but I like the second one better in this case. Great shot.

Experimenting with my Ett-l triggers. Quite a different approach to just manually setting the power of the lights I've gotta say! First step's getting to grips with how it behaves. Then I can get a bit more creative :-)
