From my personal experience (shooting APS-C): I never had to finetune anything with the sigma dock.
I previously owned the 35mm Art. I do have now the 24 and 50 Art.
I may need to do it for my fifty (from a long range the focus is not as accurate as my 24). but other than that, I'm 100% happy with my results. :)

Never fine tuned the focus using the USB-dock. Slight tuning using MFA was sufficient (-2) in my case. But the idea of being able to use a USB dock when required gives some peace of mind.

As always great shot!
Did you ever need to fine tune the focus on Sigma 35 via usb dock or in camera like many on internet says? I'm leaning towards Sigma 24 or 20 1.4

Yes I did that long time ago, both things, never had issues since then

Loved your review and pictures. You are spot on, this is one of my favorite portrait lenses. It creates a mood/atmosphere with the surrounding that can't be duplicated with other lenses. I love it at 1.4. I've taken some of my favorite people pictures with this lens, it works best when including some aspect of the surroundings with the person. A few favorites from my collection:
