There is the potential of having the same type of issues with the 50L. I tried it a couple years ago and found my copy was plagued with focus shifting not only at different distances, but apaertures as well. I think the dock is worth the $50 to help the 35Art achieve its full potential...which is why I have one on the way for next week :-)

Is it better to use AI focus then Al servo when use this lens on a 5dmkii? I got alot of miss focus when I use Al servo.

Mostly, i use one shot,for moving subjects AI Servo and never AI focus...

Yeah I use One Shot and AI Servo depending on the need. One Shot is preferred, but if the subject is moving all the time (like the one below) I switch to servo.

Gordon Lake California--about 10,000ft elevation. A 3.5hr drive till the end of the road plus, a 6hr hike to the lake. Starting point being Fresno California.
