I'm torn between this lens and the Canon 35 1.4 "first version" - from my understanding a lot of people have focus issues with the Sigma, is this still the case?

If you spend few hours with Sigma dock, AF is not an issue. Sigma 35 ART is MUCH sharper with much less CA than first Canon 35L and also cheaper.

A trend, I guess. I just bought an A73 last night as well. Sigmas work great on it--Art and the older 85 1.4 (although macro 105 does not, for some reason).
