ISO 3200 (applied NR). f/5.0, 1/1000. AFMA +8.

got this lens for a few weeks now, took it out for some test shots today, so far i am loving it, here are two shots at 1.4

A couple things...
First, how did you get within 12-16 inches (") of that bird? And second, you know it is out of control when AFMA is presumably posted as EXIF data! ;) Nice shot BTW!!

I need this lens. Need to pay off the 6D first, but this is my next big purchase. Incredible pics in this thread.:cool: Especially that one above ^^^^^^.

That's his favorite perch when he's guarding "his" feeder. I just sat and waited. When he'd chase another bird away, I'd scoot closer. I finally couldn't get any closer because of another sharp plant, so I held the camera out in front of me, just being able to make out the focus point through the viewfinder. :)
