Hi,
i am building my own wordpress blog.
i have a flash website.

Can i get some comments on my blog? what should i improve? As I am doing it myself and not paying someone, its taking longer. I have not link it to my flash website yet.

I only have 2-3 posts in it so far.

Scott, I went to your blog. I found the Blog menu up top confusing. Cursor over Blog and you are met with Wedding Photography, Engagements, Personal and For Photographer. Why not just have one blog for your professional site? I don't think I would combine personal and professional blogs like that - maybe just a link to your personal blog.

I definitely wouldn't mention my imbibing of "heaps of alcohol" anywhere near my professional page. There are potential clients out there who may be turned off by this. For the same reason, I would keep religion, politics and a myriad of other personal information away from my professional site.

Also, I don't think you need to break it down for your potential clients exactly what gear you use and why. That would be like if I hired a plumber, plumbing being a subject I know nothing about, and before giving the estimate for the job, he proceeded to describe, in detail, each and every tool in his toolbag.

Photography is one of the jobs where you don't need to talk about what you know, what you use or any of that other stuff. The proof is in the pictures. I think it would suffice just to say 'We use the latest camera technology available on the market..blahblahblah.

I've only second shot weddings, but I've never heard the bride ask what focal length I was using or any other technical question regarding the equipment we were using.

The 'How Sharp Are We?' section has got to go. That picture is weird and appears to me to be underexposed. I do have to admit that the eyelash is sharp though.

Also, you need to check your grammar on some of the About Me stuff.

Good luck with your venture.
