Do you give them money when you take their photo?

There's been several times I've wanted to take photos of performers in situations like that, but I'm not sure if I should pay them after or what.

Great shot. Love the composition!

Actually most of those that are posing like this have a tip bucket or hat out with a sign asking for tips for pics. I, of course, put some $$ in the hat.

ah...Jackson Sq, i used to visit Cafe Du Monde with my newspapers in hand and kill an hour over a cafe au laid and a beignet every morning. That sure brings back fond memories...that was in the pre-street performer era. I hope it's still there...
