Zoom Lens For 10D?

I have a 28-70mm lens for my 10D but due to the '1.6' factor this is inadequate at the wide end. I am torn between buying a used 20-35mm zoom( but can't currently find one) or the 24-85mm lens (of which there are one or two in my sights) in which case I could sell my 28mm -70mm.

I would be inteterested to hear of the views of members as to which is the better buy - is there a significant difference between 20mm and 24mm?

id go with a wider zoom. i dont know that 24mm is going to be all that better.

I too don't think that 4mm will be worth the effort. You will have to go wider to get what I think you are looking for.
