Lens Cleaning & Calibration Cost?

What's the U.S. norm as far as cost for getting a EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 cleaned inside and calibrated?

I'm considering purchasing a used one, but would like to know this first.

I want to say around $200 USD.

I sent mine in via internet fixed price for I think $160. They ended up replacing entire AF and IS components which of course came out clean and calibrated.

snakeOape, who did you go through? What lens was this? Did you notice a big improvement from calibration in IQ?

I started at the canon USA web site, then I think service, then camera. It leads you through a bunch of "can" questions. Then the VISA thing pops up and ask you to pay, then send to Irvine.
It was the 17-55. I was about to sell it, then I noticed that it the AF was search a little bit too much. So I sent it in, and then sold it. I had a 7D, so I have micro-adjust. So I had to change it from -5 to 0. It was still sharp as ever, but the AF was ultra fast and not searching like before even in reasonable low light.

On a side note my 7D has about 6k clicks on it. I've never been thrilled with the sharpness of my images with any of the lenses I've used on it. Could it be the MA? Since it's still under warranty would that cover a check-up and adjustment?

When I sent a lens in 2009 for cleaning, it was $144 plus tax.

Last year $300+ to have 24-105 calibrated. I was told that was a minimum charge.
