Bermuda caverns

Recently my wife and I toured some caverns in Bermuda. These caverns have been in formation for many thousands of years. During the ice ages, the sea level was much lower than it is now, and the stalactites formed then became immersed in the sea when the ice melted. These photos show what it looks like today, an awesome place of natural beauty.

Yes - I used the incandescent lighting provided in the caves for visitors. Flash wouldn't have achieved the balanced illumination seen in these photos without a major setup.

great color, they must have good lighting down there

I visited some of these caves in Malta and the lighting was really a challenge, especially since my equipment at that time comprised a Rebel XS and 18-55mm kit lens. You handled the lighting challenge very well.

Nice shots. The caves in Bermuda are cool. Grotto Bay hotel has some free ones where you can snorkel or just hang out taking pics.

The colours and composition are excetional........well done
