Sucks.

Just a note too, this doesnt have a Canon warranty as this is not a Canon Authorized Seller.

Jumped on it using mrrebates for 1% cash back. Using discover card for 2% cash back on Black Friday and 5% cash back for online purchases, plus an additional $100 off for signing up on the card.

I will still fill out warranty card as other say they are able to use it when purchasing from an unauthorized dealer. In another post someone asked canon and they said it is still covered. We will see.

I jumped on this, used Mrrebates for 1%, my chase freedom card for 1%, and got the $50 in e-bay bucks, I've been looking for an excuse to go full frame, so excited I finally pulled the trigger!

As far as the warranty, I'm not really sure...someone on slickdeals said they bought this from the same company before and it didn't include a warranty card but it clearly says on their site that it has canon usa warranty.

2% cb at ebates. That's an extra $25 right there. Don't leave it sitting on the table.

i saw this deal on the ebay homepage. they've nearly sold 300 cameras at this price within the day which is a little scary considering a lot of the negative feedback left is because the seller over-sales items and later has to refund the money. Another flag to me is the negative/neutral feedback. i realize this is a sliver of a percentage of unhappy customers, it just raises questions/doubt.

Not an authorized Canon dealer, Canon will not honor warranty! Buyer: truelies2004 ( 877) Oct-15-12 08:05
Canon EOS 5D Mark III 22.3MP Digital SLR Camera (Body) (#300768503539) US $2,699.99 View Item

Deceptive description as having USA warranty-does NOT. Seller worked to satisfy. Buyer: cobraflyboy ( 142) Nov-19-12 19:21
Canon EOS 5D Mark III Digital SLR Camer w/ Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS USM AF Lens (#230857493010) US $3,499.00 View Item

!!! WARNING: Canon WARRANTY implied BUT NOT PROVIDED, but good price. Buyer: alexkozubov2010 ( 6 ) Oct-15-12 10:43
Canon EOS 5D Mark III 22.3MP Digital SLR Camera (Body) (#221116170557) US $2,799.99

I'm also still confused as to whether or not canon will even warranty this item if i buy from this seller and it indeed has a warranty card. i cant seem to get a straight answer anywhere. its 330am and i dont know if i can sleep now... just seems too good to be true.

damn nice price after I pick one up for higher last night but atleast mine is canon authorized. In the end probably canon will honor everything and you save nice bucks with this deal.

BTW - I feel good for predicting 5dmk3 body to hit $2500 around black Friday. Folks were saying no way with all this MAP pricing. But look.

Well, I don't know who some is but Canon told me yes:

As long as the EOS 5D Mark III was purchased New, In box, you should have the same warranty coverage.

Granted, its not 100%, I guess I could go back to their forum and have them clarify, and turn should into will but I am fairly confident that any new camera you buy from Canon will get covered.
