The game will last 7 Days and whoever can produce the best edited image (as judged by me) will be picked and it'll be their turn to post their unedited picture for all of us to take a crack at.

The participants must have their "Image Editing OK" turned on and they must provide at least a simple breakdown of how they edited the image, some entrants are a little vague on this point, please give us all details so we can learn and share tips. For instance if you use the unsharp mask tool or Smart Sharpen, provide us with the adjustments you used so others can try them out.

You can post multiple images, but the first image you post will be the one that is judged - all other images will be considered for knowledge and tip use only.
Feel free to comment and/or ask questions at any time. This is a good competition for learning new methods, so let's make it a bit more dynamic. I will be judging edits, not comments. Feel free to comment on the original image as well.

If you happen to be the winner of the game please start the next one with the title of the game and the following number. For example…the next game should read "Before & After #450."

Game ends Friday, 30th November, 2012 at 8:00pm GMT.

Ahh, feeling a little uninspired today, so here is all I did:

IMAGE: http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/pp263/ThisIsHey/_MG_4736.jpg

And link to full-size jpeg: http://i418.photobucket.com …hisIsHey/_MG_4736_big.jpg (external link)

So... I loaded the raw in Capture One 7, set WB to Cloudy and Linear gamma, the image was under-exposed by at least 1.5 stops... So I push the image a stop and also added some curves to bring a bit of contrast back and exported as 16-bit tiff.

In PS I basically ran the image through a stack of Nik filters that consisted of contrast enhancement, glow, reflector and vignette. I also switched to LAB mode at the end to punch up the colors a bit.

Sorry, hadn't had my coffee yet.

I acquired an expensive camera so I can hang out in forums, annoy wedding photographers during formals and look down on P&S users... all the while telling people it's the photographer, not the camera.

Time's up folks!

OK - here's the summary :-

Heycoop Photography : Good "straight" fix - I like the enhanced colours.
yb98 : Interesting choice of selective colouring. I like the approach but would have liked to have seen a more varied number of colours.
Kolor-Pikker : The image WAS under exposed as you picked out very well. It was part of a 3 image composite and was exposed for the sky - good spot. I like the bottom 80% of the image but would have preferred the sky a little darker - it was a dark afternoon when taken. The colour choice is what I would have done though and overall I like your work so it's over to you for #450 - congrats and thanks to everyone.
