Just went to my camera store to buy some stuff, and they had a Canon Pro day over there, with the 6D on display and on test. I was able to snap a couple shots, but had no time to set anything, still might give a nice view of what the Canon 6D can do. Very stupid that I had no time to set it to RAW, but still. So don't judge the pictures on quality, it's just point&shoot.

Interested?

Nope, no interest in a 6D whatsoever. To myself that particular dslr is just an odd fit in the Canon lineup.

The 6xxD series are Rebels...
The 60D is a Super Rebel...

I don't think the 24-70 f/4 IS has been released yet. Was is it the 24-70 f/2.8II?

In your last sample photo that looks like the 100L, is that what you were shooting with or is that another body and lens there?

Was definitely the EF24-70/F4 IS USM, S/N 00000000000. So I guess a pre-production sample. If you want, I can upload the jpg somewhere with exif data intact, if you tell me where I can do that.

Even the people in the photos were more interested in the 1dx, you could have walked out the store with that 6d and no one would have noticed :)

The 6D will get really interesting once all the 5Dmk2 stock is gone.

^^.Agreed.

Thinking of getting a 6D mainly because of the price, and I get to keep my 5D2 and 7D, I do a lot of video and weddings, so for the price with same or near as good performance as 5D3 in terms of noise is great.
Don't need the 5D3 AF for my type of work, so used to focus and recompose now, that sometimes I forget that I have more AF points on the 7D.
The 7D AF on the 6D would have been great, but -3EV sensitivity is going to be great on poor lit churchs and receptions.
CF cards are more expensive that SD, this weekend on a local shop compared prices, one CF 8GB 30mb/s 44€ same brand of SD with same speed and capacity 14€.
I waiting for CANON CPS-Portugal to throw an event presenting 6D, 24-70 f4 and 35 f2 IS, hope it to be in the next couple of weeks and get some samples too.
I think is going to be a great camera.

It definitely felt ok and focus was fine, although I must admit that the 5d3 felt incredible and af was amazing. Very tempted to get the mark iii now.
