I was a little curious how I was gonna pull this one off as I haven't seen a lot of posing for this type, but felt like I got some good ones.

gear was 5d3 + 85Lv1 which is for sale and 5d2 + 35L

Looks like you were using flash or you are just very good with natural lighting... care to share your set up?

all natural light, no reflectors or modifiers, just finding good shade :)

can you share what your settings were on shot 2 and 6? I love the sharpness of the faces but the blur of the background. Now I'm sure it might have something to do with the lenses, but I often find when I shoot the faces in focus too much of the background is also in focus.


5Dmkii, 24-70L T3i, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 60mm 2.8 macro, 430ex II and 580ex II.

thanks guys. I think this was around 11am but the sun was dancing with the clouds.

shot 2 was with the 85L at f1.6 and shot 6 was the 35L at f1.6.
