I'm kind of debating if I should use the stock strap for my Mkiii, what's holding me back is the lettering screaming the camera model..

I have a Luma Cinch on my Mkii, but have never gotten around to ordering the tripod accessory to leave the plate on.
I use a tripod regularly and hate taking the strap/on off to use the tripod, so the plate is on the Mkiii and I'm leaving it.
Also have a cps strap, but honestly it's a bit wide for me, the stock strap isn't all that bad and they get kind of flexible.

So should I buy another strap (suggestions?) or just use the stock?

(I know it's kind of a dumb question :o)

I use a 5DII and have been perfectly happy with the standard strap.

I have a T2i but I ordered a Mark III last weekend and it should be here this coming Tuesday. I used the stock strap for a while, but it was so uncomfortable I got a black rapid. It works nice but then I bought a canon crumpler industry disgrace that I've been using for about two months and I love it, and I plan on continuing to use it when my Mark III gets here next week.

Thanks! I'm overthinking this, I don't want to attract attention w/ the lettering or be a show-off  but I also don't feel like buying a new one when I have both stock straps sitting around..

I use a BlackRapid dual harness. It splits nicely for single camera use as well. Having said that I had no issue with the stock strap, I just needed a 2-body solution.

I bought a BlackRapid a year ago. It's the most comfortable strap I've ever had and I like the zippered storage compartments on the strap itself. Keep extra batteries, memory cards, even an extra tripod adapter in that. Love it.

I wouldn't say a stock strap attracts attention or could be considered showing off, but they are darned uncomfortable on with my heavy bodies and lenses, so that is always the first thing to go for me. I prefer something with more padding personally.

Thanks everyone! I had a BR before and it was most likely user error but it always loosened up on me, and I banged up my camera more than with the Cinch..
I would like to try out the Wapiti strap (I like thin straps) but I don't want to spend money on myself again so close to Christmas. It's been a few years since I used a stock strap, so I don't remember how uncomfortable they were - I will just give it a shot.

i always liked the relatively narrow stock strap that came with my F1n bodies...

wasnt ever really a fan of the wide straps. i also have a nice narrow strap from a bronica that i like but the material is too thick for the bails on the camera...

-im just trying. sometimes i succeed

" the lettering screaming the camera model."

Strange, my strap doesn't talk... Must be an improvement on the MK III

Tape the logo then. Don't be so self consious. Are you also one of them that tapes over the Canon logos on their cameras?

I use the strap that came with the camera. I do not really care if somebody recognizes my gear or not. I'm not about to spend money to hide what brand I use. I guess if it concerns someone they can buy a competitors strap like a Nikon for a Canon. Kinda like putting GM wheel covers on a Ford vehicle IMO.

I use mine (7d) but only because I have yet to find an aftermarket that I think I might like. I have seen wedding photogs who just reverse the canon strap. It does seem to make it less visible.....

I used to use a jock strap. Does that count? Oh, Nicky stole it to give to Omar.
