2Cruise, I love your work with this lens. I am torn between this one and the speed of the 28 1.8. Not much difference at center-frame, but the 28 1.8 is really poor at the borders/corners wide open.

At those focal lengths I am shooting f/8-16. 17-40 fits better. I borrowed a 24 IS for a few days. I really liked it. Excellent wide open. Sharp across the frame and IS, too. The aperture thing killed it for me. If I am not at f/1.x, I am at f/11 or so. A fixed FL f/2.8 lens just didn't do enough for me. That works for the way I shoot. As usual, YMMV.
