Great pics everyone and I hope people are motivated to go out and shoot what is ever available in their area or post more pics they already have taken.

My rules of engagement,

1. Respect all No Trespassing signs.

2. Unmarked property is fair ball but I do let neighbours know what I'm doing if possible.

3. Never ever remove or take anything. Leave nothing behind except footprints.

4. No exceptions.

Good rules! May I add...
Not a good idea to hop fences. This from someone that has to fix those fences, or gets that call at 1am about cattle being out.
That is a sure fire way to make any rancher/farmer very upset.

I don't have any barn pics yet. I do know where a few are around here. Hopefully I can contribute to this thread soon:)

Not all barns were big back in the day. A farmer could raise a family with 80 acres and obtain employment for cash doing anything he could. Somebody in that situation would have a barn that looked something like this. Chickens were kept on the left side with room for a cow and horse on the other.

I'm pretty sure this one was in the west of New York State, I can't remember exactly where we passed it but it was after we headed west from Vermont.

This round barn is on old Route 66 northeast of Oklahoma City. It was about to collapse when this image was made (look at the roof) and did so shortly after. It has since been renovated and is now a thriving tourist stop.

The photo was used as a cover on Oklahoma Today magazine. It was also used in book about Route 66 for which I never received the promised payment but that's another story. Enjoy.

That's an odd one. Good you got it before they restored it.
