Family Portrait.....weird concept, Yes or No??

Shot this yesterday....just not sure about the concept. How would you feel about this as a family portrait. (I really don't want to shoot in the same location all the time). Weird, Y or N

I think it would work better with the rim light highlighting the heads, shoulders and torso. With that said, I'm not sure about the ambiance for a family portrait. I like the position, pose and lighting from the main. But the environment is in congruent with the family, or at least it seems to be for me.

As mentioned, the rim lighting should have been higher to rim the heads, not the legs.

I think there is way to make the location and lighting work, but it would not be the typical smiling family cluster that you used. Having them walking abreast toward the camera (parents to the outside) with relatively somber expressions would work and be thought-provoking.
