can anyone show me one of their pictures at the 200mm,

I'm still not convinced mine is sharp at 150+mm.

I've done a track day today, turned off VC, shot in Tv mode.. 1/80 &1/100 shutter speed. to get wheel blur.

but zoom shots at 200mm I'm not happy with. A static shot used on a Mono pod of a stationery parked car at 200mm... it's not sharp.

for a £1000 lens it should be sharp don't you think?

This is as close to 200mm that I have taken recently. Plenty sharp to my eyes......at 187mm

Micro adjust....its a way to adjust the focus of your lens

that's sharper than what I'm getting, plus you're at 2.8. a shot i have is at f4 and its not like that.

The view finder MA I've altered.. makes no difference.

I've shots under 150 and they are pin sharp.. what I'd xpect.. anything over I feel its not worth having the lens if I can't go to 200mm and get a sharp shot.

Yeah, something is wonky here. Micro-adjusting is done on the camera with the lens attached. I would start there if you've ruled out shutter speed and motion, etc.

Yes, just google your camera and mfa or micro focus adjust to find it in the menu. I use the "dot tune" method. There's a handy video on YouTube.

what does that mean?

Have you microadjusted it to your camera? Manual focusing using live view magnification to make sure your focus is spot on will reveal if you don't have a sharp copy. AF being off only reveals if your AF isn't off, back or front focusing.

I think it's more than fine tuning, don't you?
as it's not as thought the object in front or behind what I focus on is in focus.

it's also anything over 150mm I'd say. So 200mm is a waste of time if i want to use that to zoom in!

tried it with VC on & Off.

Vc On&off.. MF and AF.

Could it just be me doing something wrong???

But even my holiday shots at 200mm looked pants...
