Have anyone used this lens on a converter with a Nikon body? For a Nikon body, not many converters would work on the lens. So far, I have read that only the Sigma 1.4x apo ex dg would work on it. The AF performance isn't exactly fast enough..from what I read....

(Assuming I'm in the right place for the "G1", not the "Macro").
I bought this mainly for running/swimming dogs and motorsport, after comparison-testing with Canon's offerings (and also considering price).
Does a great job at that, but isn't too bad with stationary topics either.
It also took a downpour like a champ.
Since I got an 80D to mount it to I'm 100% happy with it, just a tiny bit annoyed that a bunch of people seem incredibly unable to fathom that a Tamron-lens can be any good, and that I'm not "saving up to the proper one".
I've even handed this off to a decade-long Canon-user for a few hours, and he was happy with the results.
The only think it came up short with was the panning-stabilizer-mode, which I don't need.
