Hi Melody and Zane

Thanks for the replies to Nathan - I'll make sure he sees them as soon as he has time. We did not have much light at all - we warmed the image up in Lightroom. It's a good point and a good suggestion so we'll try and redo it with a smaller aperture!

Lol - looks like he beat me to it!

Yep, I did lol :)

Hi Mark! The boy beat you to it. One day you are leading them about by the hand and the next they are leading you about.

The skate's inside structure is made of some sort of gel that softens when heated. They put the skates in an oven to heat them up, and then tie them on your feet tightly. The gel moulds to your feet and hardens as it cools. It significantly reduces the break-in time as they are already shaped to your feet. Makes them fit quite well.

Neat.

Used to sell ski boots many years ago that had similar material in the inner boot. We'd warm it with a heat-shrink gun, slap the customer's foot in it and buckle it up to let it mold and set.

It's no hotter than grabbing your underwear out of the dryer and putting it on.

I wonder if it's the same material as mouthguards. I would boil those for a bit and them stick them in and sort of bite and suck at the same time and they would form perfectly to your teeth.

Lonnie!! Have you never tried this?!? You are so missing out. Try it! Throw your clothes in the dryer while you're showering, then grab them out and put them on right away. Undies, socks, jeans, and shirt. Then, enjoy!!

Similar I suppose. Kind of a dense gel that hardens.

And sweatshirts. Nothing like a sweatshirt just out of the dryer.

Or in the UK, you have the radiators. Just put your clothes over them at night, in the cold morning, after your shower when the heat is on, your clothes are nice and hot.

I had a SCUBA regulator mouthpiece like that years ago. There was a lot less strain on your jaw with one of those than with a generic mouthpiece.

My Grandma's house had radiators, the one in the bathroom was continently placed right next to the bathtub, kept the towel real toasty.

A lot of houses around here have boilers and radiators. Ours is too new to have them, we have a geothermal heat pump.
