We stopped at a yard sale over the weekend and I picked up a 18-55mm kit lens (non-IS) for $3. For that price I couldn't pass it up. I was playing with it over the weekend and It works perfectly. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it but it's nice to have around I suppose when I would to go really light.

wow, thats a damn good price for that....never know what treasures you can find at yard sales eh. i still find myself using it quite a bit. its a pretty solid light weight walk around lens if your not doing anything too crazy

If you don't use it for anything more than a paperweight....it is still a good deal.

What I really needed was a lawn mower. Left the old one in IL (old tractor) and the grass is starting to grow.
