I was mowing. I got one of these

Neat. Isn't that the same kind of mower Forrest Gump used? :)

I worked for a business that did that - Shoreline Property Care. We did a lot of mowing through the summer. It was nice when we could get several properties right near each other. Saved a lot of time and energy when we only had to unload the trailer at the first place and then just walk/drive the equipment to the next place.

We have a guy that works in the horticulture department at the zoo who comes in a couple times a month to trim and clean up on the property. Our tenants take care of the back yard. They've done a great job with keeping it neat and landscaped.

I get to do my own mowing. I've done about 1.5 acres in the past 2 days. Spent today with a few Harp lagers to celebrate mowing the green grass in honor of St. Paddy's Day. ;-)a :-)

so is that a no on the goats?

Still getting goats for the weeds and brush. This is just lawn and pasture management. There is about six acres cleared that need cutting.

You need a faster mower. I did the front couple of acres in an hour or so the other day. Dixie is FAST. I did the pasture which is maybe 3 or so acres but that took some hours because I was going slow. I had a lot of tall matted down grass from when my friend brush hogged it. I was trying to lift it off the grass, chop it into mulch, and get some light and air to the new grass coming up so I went over it real slow.

Do whats right HERE

The gearbox on my 16 year old riding mower died, so it was either hire someone, or use the push mower.

I used to enjoy mowing grass with a push mower. I've never done over an acre, but it used to be pretty hilly. Gives a fella lots of time to think.

You're kidding me, right? That would be a nice work out, in lovely weather! Only 1.5 acres too.

When I was a young'un, about a bazillion years ago, we lived at the top of a hill in Omaha, Nebraska. Our back yard was kind of steep, but only about a quarter acre or so. Naturally, it was my job to mow it. I had to earn my allowance somehow. Luckily, the "push mower" we had back then was self-propelled. Kinda... Pulling in a lever on the handle would give me a little assistance from the motor, but I still had to put *some* effort into the job and steer the thing in the right direction. I never would have even dreamed of attempting to do that job with a *true* push mower...

I can think of a few much more pleasant ways to work out. More than a few, actually...
