Not sure if this is the forum for these, but if not any moderator please feel free to move it.

I'm back from Torres del Paine, a Chilean National Park where I could shoot some of the most beautiful landscapes I've ever seen in my life.
The tracks are well marked and relatively easy to do, but if you plan to ever go there, be prepared to walk (at least 50 miles) on your feet and specially carrying everything you bring with you. That means: pack LIGHT or your knees will suffer. Mine are hurting like hell as I brought too much equipment with me.

Park is very well maintained and very secure, specially if you stay in the Refugios, that are Hostel like accommodations where you can sleep, eat and take a hot shower.

I can't stress enough how important is to travel light. Even an extra pair of socks unused is way too much. And I brought a 70-200 2.8, a 35L, a 400L and the 5D3.
If I had to do it all again, I'd pack the 5D3 and the 24-105L only. Perhaps a 70-200 4, but definitely not the 400.

Well, enough said, time for a few photos:

Photography is about GEAR and not talent or practice. Practice won't make you a better photographer. Expensive equipment will. =D

Great shots, that's spectacular country. Did you use a set of trekking poles? They help my knees

Unfortunately I didn't. I overlooked the importance of those and now I'm paying the price :D

Excellent series. Los Cuernos and Las Torres and night shots are fabulous. Thanks for your advice on "light" equipment, I usally take too much with me.
