I was on vacation in Colorado when my EF 200/2.8L "classic" decided to act up. I had been back and forth between manual and AF with no issues, when I switched it again to MF, and the focus ring just spun without moving the focus mechanism. Extra pressure backwards on the ring would sometimes engage focus. AF, however, continues to work as it should, but I need MF as well.

I checked the Canon website and they no longer service this version of the 200L. Living in B'ham AL, I was inclined to send it to KEH in Atlanta, but they have instituted flat rate repairs and this one feels like a cheap repair to me, like a clutch of some sort.

Can anyone with good experience recommend a Canon authorized repair shop, or shed light on the problem I am having?
