Has anyone used 100-400L with 1.4x tc ? Does the autofocus still work? How bad does it degrade the image quality ? Which brand do you recommend or have experience with? Thanks for your help everyone.

It works but does slow the autofocus down quite a bit so only use it when you have to and by all means use as tripod and cable release. The images were fine but I was using a monopod so many of my iamges were a bit soft. 20D|A2

Sharpness drops considerably at 400mm as well as the AF slowing but it's useable.
