Has anyone used this lense or similar with exstension tubes ? How well does it work ? What brand tubes did you use ? I want to try some macro shots so I am looking for an inexspensive way to get started. Thanks everyone for your help.

I used mine with extension tubes before I sold them, extension tubes don't effect optical quality so there should be no concern about that. Since there are no optics most agree that brand doesn't matter, I used a set of Kenko extension tubes. I'm not sure of the exact magnification but combined they do let you get very close and are rather fun to play with, but I think I'm just going to get a dedicated macro lens one of these days.

I'm taking pictures of everything, so go ahead and take this place away from me.
